1968 - 2026
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.
Ce memorial a ete cree en memoire de notre proche, Steven Samuel Crabill, ne le April 18, 1968, et decede en 2026. Nous nous souviendrons toujours de Steven.
Steven Samuel Crabill, 57, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away February 5, 2026.
He was born April 18, 1968, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Daniel L. Crabill and Sally A. Crabill (Shobe).
Steven found joy in the simple things—especially fishing and sharing the kind of off-the-wall stories that somehow had everyone hooked and believing every word. He had a presence that lingered in a room, the kind of personality people remembered and talked about long after the conversation ended.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel L. Crabill, and his best friend, Harry “Rick” Newburn.
Survived by his mother, sister Cynthia Davis (Crabill), his daughter, Cortney Crabill, and his beloved twin granddaughters, Aubriella Mae and Kinsley Aileen, along with other family and friends who will carry his memory forward.
Steven struggled with mental illness for much of his life, a battle many fight quietly and bravely. His family hopes his story reminds others that they are not alone and that help is always within reach. If you or someone you love is struggling, you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, for support at any time.
Visitation services will be held Wednesday, February 11th at 5:00 PM at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home located at 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN 47885. Funeral services will take place Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
He will be remembered, missed, and carried in the stories, laughter, and lives of those who knew and loved him.
