ABE DENNIS, MALONE MALONE's Obituary

**Obituary for Abe Dennis Malone**

Abe Dennis Malone, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on January 30, 1932, in Dunlap, Iowa, Abe lived a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. He resided in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Abe’s life was marked by significant achievements and experiences. A proud graduate of Term High School in 1951, he served his country in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant from 1952 to 1953, stationed in El Paso, Texas. Following his military service, Abe embarked on a successful career as an inspector at Mastercraft Furniture in Omaha, Nebraska. He later showcased his culinary talents as a cook at the Chalet Restaurant in Council Bluffs, where his passion for food and hospitality endeared him to many. An avid baker, Abe was particularly renowned for his exceptional pies, which brought joy to family gatherings and celebrations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Abe cherished his hobbies, which included raising canaries and tending to his terry farm. He dedicated himself to nurturing these interests, showcasing his love for nature and the simple joys of life. Abe's legacy lives on through his unwavering commitment to his family, particularly his three sons, Dennis Malone and Larry Malone, as well as through the love he shared with his wife, Connie Malone. He took great pride in his four granddaughters—Kara Malone Smith and her husband, Andy, Christina Gifford, Stephanie Malone Mendoza and her husband, Justin, and Stacy Malone Ecker and her husband, Morris—along with his 15 great-grandchildren. They will forever remember his warmth, wisdom, and the countless memories created together.

Abe is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beulah Conyers Malone, who passed away on July 4, 1973, as well as four brothers—William, Robert, John Malone—and a sister, Lucy Davis. He is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Mormon Cemetery in Macedonia, Iowa. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a lunch at 2031 Sherwood Dr., Apt. 4, Council Bluffs, Iowa. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Ever Step for the compassionate care they provided to our father. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
