1963 - 2026

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Donna Homer, born on November 29, 1963, and passed away in 2026. We will remember Donna forever.
Yvette Donna Homer, New York, Transitioned on 3/21/2026.
Donna was born on 11/29/1963 in the Bronx, to Earline Grant.
Donna Homer was known for her vibrant and boisterous 5am wake up call asking if you were sleeping? What are you doing? Or I was just thinking about something that happened 10 years ago. Her loving heart, bold and at times harsh straightforward off the wall comments. Followed by her hilarious adventures around NYC while affectionately touching the lives of many people through her travels.
Donna worked as a home health aide, crossing guard and dedicated her life to her children, and those closest to her. In her free time Donna enjoyed her dogs over the years TYSON, PRINCESS, BABY, and last but not least LOVELY.
Donna is survived by her 3 sons Shariff Homer, Michael Homer, Wayne Haywood Jr, her grandson Wayne Haywood 3rd, bonus daughter Ashley Rodriguez (thank you Ash). She is preceded in death by her older living sister Sharon Cull, Saroya Homer (deceased), Earl Starks brother (deceased).
Her nieces Tahisha Ewing, Teanequa Bratton, Monique Poindexter, Amber Ewing (Grand Niece)
Nephews Gregory Brown Jr, Mark Starks, Shawn Poindexter, a whole list of great nieces and nephews Taeshawn / ASE Bratton, Curtis Cervera, Joshua / Noah Brown as well as great grand nieces and nephews. Her brother Gregory Brown Sr.
Donna will be remembered for her deeply rooted love for her children, nieces, and nephews.
(She broke her foot because Mike’s foot was broken lol. She slapped the teacher (lol))
Her ability to make you laugh about anything, speak her mind, irritate you while making you laugh. Never willing to accept the word no, courage to take a risk to think out of the box.
Her loud voice calling your name (BUT MOST OF ALL LIVING LIFE ON HER TERMS)
