Margaret Louise Earl

Margaret Louise Earls, 82, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on March 14, 1944, Margaret spent much of her life in Columbus, Ohio, where she built a home defined by warmth, generosity, tradition, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved. To those who knew her best, she was someone who made a house feel like home and ordinary moments feel worth remembering.

Margaret was a devoted mother and grandmother who took tremendous pride in her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Karen Vacca and Donna, and her beloved grandchildren: Tyler and Hailey Vacca, Jett and Sadie Burris.

Family and friends are invited to gather in Margaret’s memory on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Schoedinger Northwest Funeral & Cremation Service, **1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.** Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life reception will follow the service, giving family and friends an opportunity to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life Margaret lived.

Becoming a grandmother brought Margaret a special kind of happiness. She loved hearing about her grandchildren’s lives, accomplishments, adventures, and plans for the future, and she treasured the time she was able to spend with each of them.

She believed strongly in family traditions. Holidays meant a full table, familiar recipes, stories told more than once, and making certain everyone had somewhere they belonged. She was known for remembering birthdays, keeping photographs from every chapter of life, sending handwritten cards, and holding onto small keepsakes because she understood that seemingly insignificant moments often become the memories people treasure most.

Margaret had an independent spirit and a quiet strength. She carried herself with grace but never lacked an opinion, and those closest to her knew her for a dry sense of humor that could arrive when least expected. She valued kindness, hard work, loyalty, and treating people with dignity regardless of circumstance.

Throughout her life, Margaret found happiness in simple things: morning coffee, tending to flowers, Sunday meals, old photographs, long conversations with family, and watching the people she loved find their own paths in life. She had an appreciation for history and family stories and made a point of passing them down so younger generations would understand where they came from.

More than anything, Margaret will be remembered for the consistency of her love. She was the person family members could call for reassurance, perspective, or simply a familiar voice. Her presence created a sense of stability that will continue to be felt through the traditions, stories, lessons, and relationships she leaves behind.

Margaret’s life cannot be measured only by the years between 1944 and 2026, but by the family she nurtured, the memories she created, and the lasting influence she had on generations after her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
