She shared a loving life with her late husband, Bill Day, in their home on Panorama Circle, where they treasured their close-knit community of neighbors. She is survived by her children, David Valenzuela and Trinidad Tester; her grandchildren, Rachel Strickland (Christina), Maddie Valenzuela, and Luke Valenzuela; and her great-grandchildren, Rocco Cedillo and Nikolas Christopher.

Maria was known for her sharp wit, imaginative spirit, and generous heart. She gave selflessly to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
