Dena Barton

Dena Barton, passed away on January 28, 2026, surrounded by love. She was a devoted mother and stepmother who cared deeply for her family and always put the needs of others before her own. Dena was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to those around her.

She found joy in the simple moments—time spent with family, shared laughter, and being there when someone needed her most. Dena’s compassion and resilience left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dena was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Linda Thompson, who raised her with the values of love, perseverance, and generosity that she carried throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Anissa Barton and Kaylynn Barton; her stepchildren, Mary Martin and Curtis Barton; and many other loved ones and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A memorial service and balloon release will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Monsanto State Park. Purple and teal balloons will be released in her honor, celebrating the love and light she brought into the world.

Dena will be lovingly remembered, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
