1965 - 2026

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Merica Lynn Coke, born on August 29, 1965, and passed away in 2026. We will remember Merica forever.
Merica Coke found peace on January 5, 2026 at the age of 60.
Merica was born on August 29, 1965 in Clarksville Tn to Carrie Coke and Don Covington. She resided in Sevierville Tn for the last 25 years. She loved the mountains.
Merica enjoyed working out in the yard, singing, watching birds, watching her cat play outside, and spending time with her family. The role she cherished most in life was “Nana”. She loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.
Merica always had a vivacious personality. She loved to joke around with people and laugh. She always stood out in a crowd and never had a problem telling anyone how she felt. She was a social butterfly.
Merica was a force of nature. She was a woman who faced many trials that would have brought most to their knees. She emerged from them not just standing but stronger. She was a testament to the human spirit’s ability to endure and conquer.
Though her final years were marked by a fading mind which caused a period that brought distance between her and those she held dear, that time does not define the decades of strength and love that preceded it .Her life was a story of resilience and love; though the final chapters were chaotic the impact of her spirit will echo eternally. We take comfort in knowing that Merica is finally whole again, and her vibrant spirit is once more free. We ask that you remember Merica not for her final years but for the laughter, love, and strength she gave us all.
She taught us that one can be bent by life, but never truly broken.
Merica is survived by her daughter Deniece Coke-Crowder; her son-in-law Jamil Crowder; grandchildren Jaxon Crowder, Hunter Crowder, Kelly Crowder, Alyssa Crowder, Savannah Crowder, Alex Crowder, and Autumn Williams; Great Grand Daughter Addison Crowder; grandchild of the heart Aubree Brown; special family friends Amanda Brown, Billy Brown, and Mark Reddaway; Her beloved cat Smokey.

One day mom let me stay home from school to go to the farmer's market. The whole way there we talked and she told me I wasn't getting any kind of animal. We were only going to look. Welp we ended up with a goat named Charlie. We had to put Charlie in moms car to get him home. Mom tried everything to get the goat to get in the back seat of the car and he would only put his front legs in, so she picked his butt up and put him in the car. I laughed so hard at her. It only took one car ride for Char
I know you are better now. I hope you never forgot how much you were loved. I love you mom. I miss you so much.
