Sharene Nicole Detlie was born on March 24, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ronald & Iola Lester. Sharene departed this life on February 3, 2026.
Sharene was affectionately known as "pudding " and "sticks" by a favorite aunt.
Sharene, and her siblings Mishauna and Victoria grew up in Rosemont Subdivision of Kansas City, Kansas. She attended preschool, and grade school at Kiddie Kollege & Claude Huych Elementary, Middle school at Arrowhead, and high school at Sumner Academy.
She attended K-State College in Manhattan Kansas. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology in Health and Human Science. Sharene flourished in retail management at Finish Line, Foot Locker, City Gear, Kate Spade, and Tory Birch.
Sharene was united in marriage to Joshua Detlie and to this union she was blessed with twins their son Jaxon and their daughter Madison. She was later blessed with another daughter McKenzie Bufford.
Sharene accepted Christ at an early age, March 30, 1997 at Mason Memorial United Methodist Church. As a youth she participated in several areas, such as Junior Usher, Youth choir, and Acolyte.
When it came to her hobbies she started running AAU track as a long distance runner at the age of eight and all throughout middle school and high school. Her other hobbies included the love for shopping, which led to her becoming a "sneaker connoisseur". Later on she participated in the kick city podcast focused on sneakers. She was also known as a "foodie" and knew where all the best restaurant were located. She loved creating art, traveling, and with her being a social butterfly, she never met a stranger.
Sharene was preceded in death by her grandparents Lois Watson, Sylvester and Dorothy McKinney, Uncle Desmond Watson, Aunt Sharene Johnson, Uncle Wilfred Glen Boswell.
She leaves to mourn her cherished memories her parents, Ronald & Iola Lester, Sisters Mishauna (Pierre Jacobs), Victoria (Mike Moore), Brother Travis (Beth) Germany, Former Husband Joshua Detlie, In- Laws Jeff Detlie, Jim & Blumer.
Sharene will be deeply missed by family and friends. This memorial has been created to honor and celebrate the life of Sharene.
