In Loving Memory of Trixie Davis
December 28, 2012 – February 16, 2026
Age 13
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Trixie Davis, who went home peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 13.
Born on December 28, 2012, in Michigan, Trixie entered our lives at just six months old as an adopted German Shepherd–Labrador mix — and from that day forward, she became the heart of our home.
Trixie was more than a pet; she was family. She grew up alongside our children — Breanna, LaShaun, D’Andre, and Kamari — faithfully watching over them as they grew. When they left for school, she would sneak into their beds and keep them warm until they came home. She shared birthdays, holidays, quiet nights, and everyday moments that became unforgettable simply because she was there.
She loved car rides and believed the front seat belonged to her. She adored belly rubs and would gently push your hand with her nose if you dared to stop. If another dog was getting attention, she made sure you knew she deserved it too. Her personality was bright, loving, protective, and sometimes just a little jealous — but always full of heart.
Trixie spent most nights downstairs beside her parents, Kinton and Shonda Davis, serving as protector, comforter, and loyal companion. She also leaves behind her four-legged little brother, Queso, who stayed faithfully by her side.
There were many times she took herself on friendly neighborhood walks, always returning home — sometimes even with new friends, and once famously in the back of a police car. That was Trixie: independent, bold, social, and unforgettable.
She passed peacefully with her two-legged brother and her four-legged brother by her side, surrounded by love.
For 13 beautiful years, Trixie filled our home with laughter, protection, warmth, and unconditional love. Though our house feels quieter now, her paw prints remain on our hearts forever.
Run free, sweet girl.
You did your job here perfectly.
Forever loved and deeply missed

My sweet Trixie, Thirteen years was not long enough. You grew up with my babies and helped raise them with me. You protected this home, loved us fiercely, and made sure no one ever forgot you were in charge. I will miss your nose nudging my hand when I stopped rubbing you. I will miss you riding in the front seat like you owned the road. I will miss the way you watched out the window and the way you always came back home to us. You were my comfort, my protector, my shadow, and my heart. Thank yo
God bless Trixie!
She'll truly be loved and missed.
